Big guys on 600's?

How big is too big for a 600? I'm 6'2", 240lbs and I feel like I would look like a gorilla on a tricycle riding a 600.

1000cc bikes arent really that much bigger then 600s, so you'll look like monkey/football on most SS bikes

If it's any consolation I'm 6'3 and 300lbs and I used to ride a 600 and I currently have a 750. If I had the choice right now I would go back to a 600 or even something smaller as they are just more fun. That said invest in some adjustable rearsets it makes a world of difference

I feel pretty at home on my 1100, I rode my friends '11 CBR1000RR yesterday and it just felt tiny.

Someday I want track bike and it seems a GSXR 600 would be about the best option.

Don't worry about how things look. Focus on how it feels to ride the bike

I'm 6 / 230 and rode an R6 with no issues.

BTW, would recommend the R6 for track over the GSXR.

FWIW, all SS bikes are uncomfortable. They say the CBR is the most comfy of them all.

I'm 6"5' and have never been lighter than 225#. You're going to always be uncomfortable but some bikes ergonomics are better suited for us. I've rode and raced a lot of different models and can tell you that GSXR's and most recently my S1000RR feel the best. The 06-07 CBR1000's felt good too, as well as, 08-10 ZX10r's. R6's always felt like I was sitting "on top of the bike" rather than "in the bike". I felt horrible on an RC8.

Your only source for some relief is going to be adjustable rearsets which I moved all the way down and back and aftermarket clip ons moved out and forward.

And no matter what you ride, you'll always look like a monkey on a football.

It amazes me after a decade of mass centralization and bikes getting smaller that the "1000cc bikes are physically larger" meme still persists.

I know they are basically the same size. I was also asking about power with my weight. I ride a CBR1100xx right now.
