Snell Helmet Requirements 2010/2015

Hey Guys,
With the new Snell 2015 standard on the horizon, I'm wondering what our local track schools will require as far as helmet standard & age. I recently picked up a NIB Shoei X-12 Streamliner, made 3/10, at a good discount. I'm also interested in a Bell Star (2013 design). Both helmets are fairly recent designs and should be Snell 2015 compliant, but I'm wondering if I should wait until the 2015 stickered helmets are released in ~ October to get a full five years of track acceptance from the next buy. I'm mainly interested in the Star for the increased ventilation for the hot weather coming up, so I'd prefer to buy now if I can. I have not tracked a bike before, so I'll be level 1.

there isnt a requirement for snell, but dot is required. none of the track day providers check the manufacturer date.

but yes, if you race in the cmra they will check to make sure you helmet is within that 5 year

"Damage free BSI, DOT or SNELL full-face helmet with face shield. (flip-up full face helmets are not allowed in Levels 2 or 3)"

that is from the ridesmart website. they handle majority of the trackdays here

I purchase my last Schuberth SR1 on ebay from the U.K. giving I got it for $600 vs. $969 that I paid for the first one here;thus, no DOT sticker. Hasn't been an issue on track days but I soon wan't to get my cmra license. It has the British certification but I wonder if they'll accepted.
