I'm requesting another $20 all you can eat crawfish meet.

Winston's does seem tiny but I'll go almost wherever the meet goes.

I've only been to the past meet and it was fun. Dave's seemed like a cool and friendly place, but it's not like he is sponsoring the site or anything(is he?)...I'm with tmax, variety is the spice of life.

I think it would be cool to mix it up. If it flops, it flops. We could go back to dave's next time.

Ivan, you are a good organizer. You had the idea for the Cypress that rider facebook page and it has taken off. When the are you going to get back on a motorized bike?

you can borrow mine or something, just don't crash it:P

Surely you can get your hands on SOMETHING. You can get a ninja 250 for less than the price of a good road bicycle.

BTW you should have made this a poll.

Not very many. And we haven't been on the show in about two months I think. It's here and there.

I'm just thinking that, for me, it's not about the food. It's about the people and the bikes.

I just think Daves has a lot of what your looking for. Lots of parking, beer, a welcoming attitude, and beer.
The food IS good, if you can get it and radio coverage is a bonus.

Has any of this been mentioned to Dave? Maybe if he realized there was talk of leaving he would make things happen.
Again, you have not seen the level pf hospitality by Tiffany and her staff...

we have mentioned it to Dave quite a few times.

Nah, no pole needed, this was a way of announcing we were gonna be trying this out see how it works.

I'll be back on a moto soon...

He's got plenty of parking, it's easy access and he's been good to us.
Plus we get radio coverage.
Im also pretty tired of the outrageous service. Dont get me wrong I like the spot. But long wait times for full price food/drink... not to mention only one bartender most nights. Gets old

I didn't even get a drink the fist time I went into outlaw Dave's. It was to slow and the girls only paid attention to people sitting. As someone who went to this last meet for the first time. I wouldn't go to another one at Dave's :(

I like Dave's , but their should be a rotation of spots. Mix it up, and we can always go back.

+1 to rotate. Been to Dave's twice, good atmosphere but the service sucks.

Waiting 10+ minutes for the employee to twist the top off a beer and hand it to me gets old fast.

+1 on Tiffany and her staff taking great care of us. Food and service was excellent and prompt on my many visits. They do roll out the red carpet for motorcyclists at Winston's and as Ivan stated, the owners walk around to greet you and address any concerns or requests you have.

My initial concern is just that we may overrun the place, depending on the turnout. Diverting riders to the parking lot next door and keeping them out of the actual venue with cones or a type of barricade would help. Some bikes can back up and park along the street at an angle so newcomer's don't miss it while riding down the long Washington Ave. Once before, the owner even parked their car at the start of the line so no traffic could accidentally get in that parking lane right in front of the venue, leaving us the entire curb to almost the end of the block.

I love Dave's because of his hospitality and huge area for people to converge, but not feel cramped. You can sit inside, outside, or even stand anywhere and hang out in the parking lot, and still enjoy yourself fully. I agree the food service was quite a wait time but I did like many others and just ate beforehand or walked over and ate something else if I was really hungry.

Nonetheless, change is the only thing constant in life. Winston's has put in work on many occasions in the very recent past to be given a chance to host an upcoming central meet.

This is not an isolated incident either. We have addressed it a few times.

It sucks because I'm a big fan of Dave's bar but I can't keep ignoring what people come to tell me.

They will be reserving the huge parking lot next to them only for bikes so we got the parking and space for the slow races.

Love Outlaw Dave's but have been getting feedback on possibly having a change of scenery. Not to mention at times the service was less than good.

So, hope everyone is excited, the part owner is really cool here and she is very good on the eyes too.

See you all June!
I like winstons...but if you think the service at Outlaws will be slow...Winstons will be SLOW...not to mention the LACK of parking will DESTROY this meet.

Call me old fashioned , but I believe in loyalty, and Dave has been pretty solid , if there are issues I would suggest taking the time to run over there and sit down with the man and let him know you are considering a venue change.(not in passing on the night of the event)

If things are not better, then by all means switch places..

My opinion is based on all of the years hosting the WSBK/MotoGP race viewing parties, every hopping place in town wanted to have our group, but after 1 or 2 , everything slid and once football season started they did not want to give us the big screens for Motorcycle Racing, Firkin and Phoenix was the only place that saw the season through with us and that is why I stayed there!
Vu told people that he made a commitment to us and he would honor it, and that my friends is how you run a business!
