*Is it time to move the Central Meet?*

It looks like it is.

Spoke to the manager at Winston's and she is like a head hunter gunning for us to go there. They have a great staff, good specials and might play some motogp on their big screen.
fulloutside

They will be reserving the huge parking lot next to them only for bikes so we got the parking and space for the slow races.

Love Outlaw Dave's but have been getting feedback on possibly having a change of scenery. Not to mention at times the service was less than good.

So, hope everyone is excited, the part owner is really cool here and she is very good on the eyes too.

See you all June!

We got it covered.

Only burgers and wings on the menu and possibly get a food truck.

With the parking right next filled up, leaves room for people to mingle.

That place is tiny. What's the incentive?

For the record, I welcome comments and change, however I'm just not sure this will handle us better than Outlaw Dave. TO THIS DATE, I don't think anyone/place has been better to us.

I would have to agree, and the traffic on that part of Washington is not very bike friendly......

Tiny when there are bikes in the common area. There is plenty of space for the size of this place. I took a bicycle ride there with about 150 people plus bikes and we were all fine and service was quick.

People have complained about how slow the service is for a while now...

you were there that night. There are more people that have explained the same in the past.

I love Dave's too.

Not really and not on Wednesday either... plus the parking lot can hold the mass of motorcycles... and there is off Washington street entrance.

+1 .
I have been to both locations and several of the great Central Meets. Dave's is the way to go. Winston's is pretty tiny. But either way you do it I'm sure it will be good. Hope to make the next one!

I always make sure to eat before going to Dave's and if I get hungry I go home or walk across to mcdonalds or IHOP. I've waited well over an hour every time I decided to order food whether burger, nachos or quesadilla. I just wanted some fries one time and that was a 50min wait.

I told the management at Winston's the same and they are ok with doing just two menu items.

these guys are throwing really great specials and accommodations at us.

we have not been treated better than Dave's before... I think Winston's will go a step up.

if it fails then we can always go back.

Gary, Blanco and the other guys that go with them on Wednesday can say they roll out the carpet for the bikes when they show.

Maybe we could ask Dave to do a special menu for us. I don't want to leave OD's.
He's got plenty of parking, it's easy access and he's been good to us.
Plus we get radio coverage.

I wonder how many people have shown up to the meets at OD's because of his radio coverage.

There must be, at least, a few. It's gotta be good for our little community. A little positive media coverage of motorcyclists.

Having worked at restaurants and bar n grills that have hosted bike nights much bigger than the central meets along with all the "regular" customers that showed up. There should be no reason to have a reduced menu, one place I worked our menu was 50-70 items regardless of what was going on. I just kept pumping out orders even short staffed or when people walk out. I don't know what their kitchen situation is but understaffed isn't an excuse as again I've been in much worse situations my seven years in the kitchen.

The food always is the reason I don't show up to more of them. The people are great I like Dave, great atmosphere and 4minutes from my house but I'm not going to go somewhere the service is so horrible. If they found a way to turn the bar and especially the kitchen around I'd be fighting for us to stay.

That's the key, I guess, it's a bar with a grill. Not a grill, that has a bar.
I'm just thinking that, for me, it's not about the food. It's about the people and the bikes.

I just think Daves has a lot of what your looking for. Lots of parking, beer, a welcoming attitude, and beer.
The food IS good, if you can get it and radio coverage is a bonus.

Has any of this been mentioned to Dave? Maybe if he realized there was talk of leaving he would make things happen.
