Mayweather Jr. vs. De La Hoya

Okay so I've been hearing alot of bOOlshyt about the fight and how various individuals seem to think De La Hoya was cheated and blah blah blah...well I'm kind of sick of hearing it, so I would like to post some information for perspective and get you all's take on the fight. Give reasons for why you feel the way you do so those reading can distinguish between your being either a someone who just watches fights every now and then, a fairweather boxing fan, or a true boxing fan. Thanks in advance...

Punches:
Oscar De La Hoya: 122 of 587 for a total of 21% landed
Floyd Mayweather Jr: 207 of 481 for a total of 43% landed

Power shots:
Oscar De La Hoya: 82 of 341 for a total 24% landed
Floyd Mayweather Jr: 138 of 241 for a total of 57% landed

What two of the lead boxing scribes in the business (Doug Fischer & Steve Kim) thought with regard to the fight:

"Floyd Mayweather out-boxed Oscar De Hoya over 12 rounds, winning his sixth major world title in a fifth weight class and keeping his undefeated record intact barely."- DOUG FISCHER, MaxBoxing

"Floyd Mayweather, who would win the WBC jr. middleweight title this past weekend at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas via split decision over Oscar De La Hoya, didn't make it a tactical, strategic boxing match (which is another way of saying 'boring'), he made it into a typical Mayweather fight." - Steve Kim, MaxBoxing

IMO it wasn't much of a fight
I thought that I was watching Dancing with the Stars

I like that mayweather beat DeLaHoya at his own game...dancing around and looking pretty for the judges without getting hurt.

12 rounds and not even a puffy eye.

THIS FIGHT SUCKED!!!!!!!!

We pay to watch somebodies a$$ get toe down, u know the whole hit to da chin that tenses their muscles up and sends them face down to the mat!!!!

Mayweather danced all night long and Oscar's taps made me sick.

But do you all agree with the decision, and that is that Mayweather won?

I think it could have gone either way.......counting punches doesn't really mean that much in this case because nobody was really getting tagged.
Neither one had a mark on them after 12 rounds.......:eh:
I would have given DLH more credit for chasing him around, he was the aggressor most of the fight.

Thank you...............It should have been a draw.
Over all the fight sucked....very boring....

There was no one clear winner in my book, yes may landed more
but he was running and hold the whole night. Oscar was the aggressor, through more punches, tried to get a brawl going... So i felt it all balanced out in the end...

But the will winner is still Oscar in my book because win or lose he walked away with 40 million....

He did about 1-10 total!!!! The body shots against the ropes were trash, the head shots were misses!!
