Royal Purple Raceway for some drag racing?

Hadnt seen one posted up in awhile, and since I finally got leathers and can actually go, I figured Id post up and see if anybody else would like to go. Thinking either the 30th (next Friday), or the following week (I think the 6th). 6th would work best for me, but if everybody wants to go next week, we can do that.

What say ye?

All motorcycle riders are required to wear a full face helmet meeting above Specs, leather jacket, leather boots/shoes above the ankle, and leather gloves. Full all leathers or SFI Spec 40.1/2 suit is mandatory on all motorcycles running 120 mph or faster.

Tech doesnt know what you are gonna run. Of course they passed you. Its the people in the timing booth that will get you. Maybe you will get by. Maybe you wont. I usually tech my bike in shorts and Nikes

Did you read the above posts? A 600 does 120+ in the 1/4. You're gonna want leathers

! My bad. Ive always had a tether but most say they dont care. Bikes have tip over switches anyway. In a bind you can velcro a leash on the button

If you knew how many threads like this have been here, you would understand my quickness to jump . lol

Done plenty of passes in cars but never on a bike. Might bring the track bike out there.... Any first time bike tips? Line up in the groove or center? Waterbox Y/N if running a road race dot? Do I need a headlight?

Line up on grove
dodge the box with the front tire and back the rear into it
stickey tire the better. Drop pressure starting at 16 psi and go lower till you hook if spinning

headlight not needed I think a tail light is.

Lots of throttle asap and feather the clutch

Start at a 6000 dump IMO

Awesome, thanks! Only 6k? I'm hesitant to dump the clutch like I would a car, but cmra starts I usually leave at 12k+ hard on the gas and slip the clutch to manage spinning/wheelies(no idea on 60's but I usually jump up a few rows by t1) Would dumping it really help out a road race bike on a steep.profile road race tire on stock wheelbase? Running -2 front stock rear. Will an always on led strip work on the tail at baytown?
