I think MM would still win on a Yamaha. How dominant I'm not sure. I think he's that talented. I think he'd be competitive on the other machines. Not sure about winning

It's not always about having the best bike. If you know you have a better bike and you win was it you or the bike? Like you said pedrosa might normally be a 10th spot rider but given that he has a better bike it makes him get a better result.

The other thing your not mentioning is honda probably pays the best to get the best riders on their bikes.
Rossi left Honda bc they told him it was the bike, not him that was good. He left Yamaha bc he told them to choose between him and Lorenzo... You see what happened. Crutchlow went to Ducati only for money.

How come the Isle of Mann is the only race mentioned here? There is a entire series of racing around Ireland and the IOMTT is just one of the many races. I understand it's like the 24 of Le Mans of the series but still. not to mention the WEC 24 of Le Mans motorcycle race.

1. It's the premier race
2. There is more than one superbike race during the Isle of Man

Is that the same support that Marquez and Pedrosa get? Does Honda have a factory team at Isle of Man. Yes or No?

This was exactly my point. Give MM the bike Rossi is riding and I think he would still win.

I just wish they tried this.

It is still the same classes raced year round.

Any race is all circumstantial. If anyone is going to say Honda is the absolute best given it's current victories in MotoGP and IOMTT then how would one explain the lack of championships in WSBK and AMA SBK for Honda. You could say the lack of a factory based Honda team led to Hayes' dominance but that would not explain Spies' multiple championships in both series.

He'd be a podium contender. He wouldn't be a 7th place at the end of lap 2, but still win by 4 seconds rider. He'd have to actually race for his wins.

Two superbike podiums at the Isle of Man. Six Hondas on the podium with four different riders. Honda is leading WSBK

Kawasaki has 143 championship points while honda has 139? Rae is in first but the next honda is found in what place in the championship? That's right 9th.

Both Sykes and Baz are running really well this year in WSBK. The honda is underpowered compared to it's competition, and Rea is riding the wheels off of it to accomplish what he has.

Honda is leading this year but when was there last championship in WSBK or AMA SBK? 07 for WSBK and 02 for AMA those being the premier classes?

I tip my hat to Honda or any team that wins regardless of the manufacturer because in the end I may never be able to perform at a fraction the level these guys do on a daily basis. I have the utmost respect for every team, rider, and machine.

The IOMTT is one of my favorite races to watch but I do have to admit that it is a riders race. With almost 38 miles per lap at over 200 turns, riders on Hondas and Suzuki passing each other in the draft back and forth multiple times on the same straight to me shows one bike having a fraction of a HP advantage or slightly better chassis geometry would only matter if you ran solo runs and a perfect ride.
