Helmet Hammer Test

This sort of justifies the Cheap VS Expensive argument.

Good Posting , sent this to a buddy that truly believes that a $75 helmet is just as good at protecting you as any high-end brand (Shoei, Arai, etc.) and that all you're paying for is the paint job

I'll keep buying my 'spensive lids

Which one was the expensive one?
Were either of them dot or Snell tested?
I have a feeling that vid doesn't prove much.

Somebody do that with an Arai and an HJC

It's a Chinese helmet, what do you expect?

Try that with a certified helmet instead.

Not exactly a fair fight. Don't even know where that "RZO" helmet came from. Probably Pepboys' lawn care dept.

That test "apparatus" isn't anywhere close to simulating real-world crash protection. Mount those helmets on a manikin's head, then drop head first from 6ft on hard concrete.

I'll continue to buy quality helmets. But not because of this red-neck video.
