Exhaust heat shield?

Hey everyone, I just bought a set of cobra dragsters, removed the baffles and put them on my bike without the heat shields. I really like the look! Do I need to install the heat shields? I have never gotten close to the huge factory pipes so I will not be close to them as they are smaller, any ideas? BTW they are loud as ! Love it

I see no reason you would have to if they arent going to burn anything or anyone

I did a test run and after about 45 minutes if riding I didn't feel any more heat than I did with the stock pipes, I may put exhaust wrap on them just for aesthetic reasons

I would not use wraps because it can shorten the life of the pipes.
