According to the article, the 600 is not much different from the 1000, so there is less difference between the 750 and the 1000. Truth.

The only reason not to get a liter bike, is to get a 1300 or 1400....or a turbo 1300..

Dam you beat me to it.
1. Literbikes are about one thing: horsepower......that's the main reason I wanted it.
2. Make u lazy.....if I want to work out I'll go to the gym. or ride my mountainbike.
3. motorcycles and theft.....meh wonder if he has any Harley riding friends.
4. razors edge not safe....If I wanted safety I'd stay at home. I'm looking for adrenaline.
5. No faster than a 600.......It's not the bike it's me I'm to old and lazy so I have to have the extra 400 cc's to make up the difference. Someone needs to invite this guy on one of ya'lls - "noob to moderate" Forest rides. I don't think he is ready for the pace of the BORC.
6. target for cops.......I can count of atleast 4 instances in my 35000 miles on my liter where the cops could have nailed my wallet a lot harder than they did. I must say I've been given a great deal of respect when pulled over.
7.Cost......it's my money. I'll spend it any dam way I please. Besides I get 6k out of a rear sport touring tire. And I can push it to a BORC pace. And atleast 15k out of a chain and w/sprockets every second chain.
8. comfort....this guy sounds like a real amateur. I'm dam close to 50 and I find my Blade to be very comfortable.
9. compromise handling for power.....refer to answers #2,4, and 5 it's easier to get what I'm looking for in #4 with power rather than trying to get it out of handling.
10. Don't teach you anything......It taught me to wear gear.
11. Isn't rewarding.....he's looking for the wrong prize. I find a great reward in instant throttle response at all RPM's and gears. Not to mention, waking up, hopping on my liter in shorts and flip flops and idling it to the donut shop a mile from my house. It's so cool to just get it in high gear as quickly as possible after cranking it. Then sit up, take my hands off the bars and idle at around 20mph.

3. Stolen...only my zx14 ever got stolen
4. Razors edge not safe...which is it, they make you lazy or you're on razors edge?
5. No faster than a 600...maybe at GSS but not if there's a straight around.
6. Target for cops...put a Leo Vince on a grom & you're a target.
7. Cost too much...tires every 2k miles wtf?
8. Uncomfortable...myth.
9. Compromise handling for power...would rather track my '13 zx10 than my '03 cbr600 for handling reasons, but don't want to wad a zx10 up...again.
10. Don't teach you anything...see #4.
11. Isn't rewarding (because he got scared at wot at COTA)...I think they do bicycle days at COTA.

I rode a cbr1k today at the track, it is really an amazing bike. I know it's not the fastest anymore but turn in and handling are excellent.

That like a 1550cc or something?

Sounds fun... Put one of those monster short port heads like Bob C. is using on the 1670 motors...should make 250 ish on a 1550..
