Hit and run

I was involved in a hit and run on 249 heading south between Boudreaux Rd and Northpointe Dr. Friday night at 9:30. I was rammed by a blue v6 Ford Mustang (I still have your missing center cap). There was a 05+ black CBR that was being taunted by this Mustang as I approached from behind. When the Mustang went all the way to the right lane and the CBR stayed in the left lane, I figured it would be the perfect time to shoot the gap and get away. Well, as soon as I got next to the mustang, he deliberately swung into me, sending me over the bars and 50 yards down 249. I heard the CBR power off as I was still tumbling so I assumed he was going to get a tag. Needless to say, nobody has called in a tag number so I am assuming they were buddies and acting like complete jackasses. To the rider of the CBR, F*** YOU for not 1) stopping or 2) getting a plate number. There is no reason the CBR or his passenger couldn't get a tag number. I'm alive (geared up) and I do have multiple people who are familiar with your bike in this area. I WILL find you. Dirty pieces of like you always surface at some point in time. I just hope when I do find you, your little buddy in the mustang is at our house at the same time. Gear up guys and stay safe. No excuse NOT to be geared up. Besides, you look like a complete dumbass wearing shorts/t-shirts, spine protectors (whatever the that is) or flip flops. Gear up, stay alert, and be safe. Dress for the slide, not the ride.

i'd be looking for the mustang not the CBR. were you close to any stores or gas stations on the corners of the road that might've had video camera?

I was, and none of them has cameras that face the road. I am actively searching for both. The CBR knows this guy or doesn't give a about other riders. Either way, he's just as big of an as the driver of the Mustang imo.

In hindsight, yes that would have been the correct course of action. I was thinking it would be easier to shoot the gap and get away from him than risk dodging any flying car parts or being brake checked.

Harris County did show up. There were a few witnesses that saw him ram me, but nobody thought to get a plate. Which is fine, they all stopped to make sure I was ok and to call 911.

wonder if the car was stolen. Who would intentionally damage their own vehicle?

Glad you were geared up! We had a similar situation happen towards the end of last year. On 249 just north of spring cypress. We were on the side of the road fixing a bike when a dark blue mustang came from the far left lane right at us. Swerved at the last second, we think because he realized there was a car in front of the two bikes. (Speculation of course...)

Hope someone catches that . The car with us tried to get a plate, but mustang got away by doing well over 120 in a residential area. Almost certain it was a v8 though and it had an exhaust. Cops had reports of a bike chasing a dark blue mustang in that area right before we called it in. Too bad there are so many blue mustangs in the area. I still pay attention to the car/driver whenever I see one.

I live right there, I will keep my eyes open for a blue mustang with damage to the right side, anything else to help distinguish it?

Sorry, the damage will be on the left side. It was dark blue and it was definitely a v6. It was at least the 2005 by the look of the tail lights. Before they went to the sequentials. He had tinted windows and will be missing the fake spinner looking OEM center cap.

I thought this as well. The guy who was hit on 1960 yesterday got plate numbers of the white car that hit him, but those turned out to be fake tags.

This. One night on 610 West, I was riding to the gym. There was a Dodge Ram 1500 in front of me in the next lane on my left. The truck had it's right blinker on and I assumed the truck was waiting for me to pass before switching. Well, I decided to switch to the lane left of me, behind the truck. The truck did not switch lanes after I was behind it and continued to drive with the blinker on. So I'm like wtf man? So I switch back to the lane to my right and then, the truck began to switch lanes in front of me. So, I'm thinking, man, this truck is with me. The truck began switching lanes back and fourth on the freeway. Then I realized this was drunk. This dumbass kept swerving back and fourth and then slammed into the bend on 610 West to i10 and kept on driving. Cops eventually caught the driver at a later exit at a gas station.
