races question

watching all the races today. question. After the second crash and restart in the SS races, maybe i never noticed before but was there a group in the back that had a delayed start?
When the light turned green first maybe half of the group took off but could see about back half still sitting on their bikes then after a few minutes u could see them moving.

It is possible that with all of the wrecking that in a attempt to thin the field some, that they ran a two wave start. REALLY odd for the AMA, but the SS field is pretty large for that level of racing IMHO. The AMA has shown a history of doing things on the fly.

It was indeed a two wave start to try to avoid the carnage coming out of the hotpit onto the track.
