I don't think he'll pull through ... but certainly don't give up the fight. Kind of sucks what Honda did to him, though ... certainly can't blame Honda either ... they made the smart move and built a smaller bike for a smaller rider, which leaves Nicky sort of out in the cold.

I think its the bike, honda screwed him last year and i think they're doing it again this year. Comon guys you can have a fluke race and win, but comon guys to get a crown then say to put a fork in him after 1/4 season. He's finsihing top 10 every race at least.

Back to Nicky though, I see him getting released from his contract next year and getting a ride next to KRJr on a sattelite team.

I'd like to see Rossi finish up next year on a Duc though, and maybe that will open spot for Hayden on Yamaha.
+1, Rossi on a duc, that will be a dream for italy.

i think he just got lucky last year.. I'm so dissapointed in him this year.. He's not testing anymore this year but, I think maybe pedrosa has the better bike given the fact that he's not "American"

Now, I'm not saying the kid can't ride, but... hello. A motoGP racer he is not. I think he was just at the right place, at the right time last season.

I think Nicky's a great rider as well as a great person, but none of that matters because as Rossi showed us last season, the rider is only as good as his bike will let him be. Honda better get their together or that italian riding Aussie is gonna be wearing that #1 plate next year.

I think MotoGP racing is probably at its best ever. I mean they are gettign 3 spots on CBS this year. Wow! So maybe he got lucky... getting lucky is what racing is all about sometimes. It is also about showing up and finishing. Something Rossi did not do a whole lot last year. I think MotoGP still needs a rider like Nicky and I for one will continue to be a fan of all of our US boys that are out there.

I don't think he got lucky last year. We was the most consistent podium finisher all year. I believe 990s suited his riding style of riding much better. He has not adapted to the 800. I believe he'll improve throughout the year, but I don't belive he'll finish near the top...

+1 Nicky is tenacious as . He'll ride the wheels off anything you put under him. Not many would have continued (let alone stay upright) after getting rammed like he did. It's hard to have confidence in your machine when you look down and the fender is shattered. Wasn't it Capirossi about 10 years ago that quit the Roberts Marlboro Yamaha team mid-season??? You won't see Nicky pull that BS. Win, Lose or ??? he's still a Champion.

To those who say he "sucks"...WTF have you ever done except ?

I'd rather see Nicky come back to AMA & put Honda back in contention. You can't tell me Nicky & Spies going at it wouldn't be some great racing.

That would definetly be interesting to see... maybe he should do a sit in on one of the AMA races this year. Laguna Seca maybe? :icon_bigg

Never said it sucked... I personal just don't think he's on the same level of some of the top MotoGP riders.

A true athlet can still get into the ideal performance state and check out. That is how they perform period.

Look at Brett Favre (father died) or Michael Schumacher (father in critical condition) and they still performed at the top of their game.

I think Hayden has more problems that his IPS, not sure what it is but he is done for this year for sure.
