Lmao, same.. I bertstared back and then he said cmon man just for the class. Was annoying, had to keep conciously reminding myself to stop covering the front break. The only time I really don't keep it covered is when FW cruising on a low traffic area.

Call the place where you are registered to take the class. See if they will let you in if somebody is late/cancels. Show up the morning of the class , you may get lucky.

I don't ride dirty. I've gotten pulled over for doing 15 over weaving traffic and got let go with a stern warning. No way that was happening if everything was not up to par.

I would ticket you and impound your bike, since you're not licensed to operate it.
Lucky for you i'm not a cop.
Get your priorities straight.

I got my priorities straight, I was asking for people's input since they have experience and I don't!

Do you say things like this in real life?

OP, they used to be really lax about it. Kind of like a Kroger card, they would ask for it but if you didn't have one they didn't care. About 5 years ago they started towing bikes and became much stricter about it.

Cops probably won't let you slide, but regardless...

...like others have said, you're better off going through the course first anyway.

Does Texas not have a learning permit?
In Ohio you get a permit with restrictions.
Can't ride after dark and no passengers.
Can renew as much as you like.

I've had riders w decades more exp then you, and have enjoyed the class and learned something.

You get out of the class what you want, sounds like you already know everything so you'll learn nothing.

If you know nothing, the for the love of wait until you take the course. I get the general assumption that is the direction everyone else is trying to push you. And, if you knkw nothing it might be a good idea to hit up the training course parking lot every once in a while to practice on your own bike. That r6 is going to handle completely different than the 250 shadow you'll take the course on.

For the most part I'm waiting. I'm taking the class next week! I grew up riding dirt bikes so I'm not brand new but it is a lot of new things dealing with traffic and idiots
