They likely have water in their underground tanks. . .find a new gas station and quit paying them for a headache.

Why are you continuing to go to the same gas station if it continues to give you problems?

Honestly, I think it's your bike, not the gas station.

I'm not getting gas at the station, I picked up a candy bar. Yesterday when I got off of work the same thing happened again. Bike starts but once I let off the throttle it dies. I kept trying and was able to hold the throttle down for a few mins and everything was fine. I guess I'm gonna have to take it back to the shop, even though they can't find anything wrong since it starts when it's there.

Maybe you should crawl into a cave and rot there since you obviously can't read or respond to a question, instead you just blurt something out that doesn't make sense. You contribute nothing to society why are u even here.

What shop looked the bike over for you? Did they load test the battery or just charge it and say it was good because it held a charge? I'm not familiar with the issues that you describe, but i would recommend seeking another opinion at another shop. If you go that route, my suggestion would be to contact Motorcycles Unlimited and allow Patrick and crew to take a look at your bike. Taking it back to the original shop or taking it to another shop for a second opinion may sound like an inconvenience. . .but it's far better than being stranded far from home.

Get a call a few days later saying they couldn't find any issues. I ride it a couple of times since then with no issues. Fat Forward about a week same thing rode to work, went to the same gas station on lunch and bike wouldn't start again. I rolled the bike away from the main pumps and it started right up. Could there be something at the gas station affecting my bike. As coworker said it might be a grounding issue when I put the kick stand down. I'm very puzzled and don't want to get stranded away from home. Bike is in great condition only has 5000 miles on it. Any ideas

Texas power sports off 528. I think part of the problem was that they did charge the battery to test it so of course they couldn't duplicate the problem. I usually take it to Motorcycles Unlimited but its far from where I'm at and tow trucks charge too much since I don't have another way to get it there.

I suggested Motorcycles Unlimited based on my experiences with them and I was unsure of your location as your profile only lists Houston. Anyone can charge a battery and have it show a full charge. I'd suggest removing the battery and taking it to your local auto zone and having it LOAD TESTED just to rule the battery out of the equation if possible.

when my stator went out. I could keep the bike running as long as I kept giving it gas. but as soon as I let go, it would die. So I say check that.

I have seen this before, the stopping place was just the right distance for the fast idle to kick off, but letting it sit there for a few minutes it would cool down but not enough for the fast idle circuit to reengage so it would not idle for a few minutes.
If you are starting from the same place every time you go to that station, this may be your problem.
Drive the exact same distance to some other location an duplicate everything, you will know then.
