Want to hold an event

First I would like to say hello and this is my first time using a forum of such.
I am looking for help on how to or who to contact for holding an event. My
friends who are located on 1960/45 just opened a Sports Bar/Grill, very large inside and since my husband and I ride we thought the facility (bar) would be
an exceptional place to hold a motorcycle (benefit/event/poker run), however, I am lost on how to go about getting the word out and helping set something like this up. Any information or contact info would be greatly appreciated. My husband and I are always looking for new people to ride with and get to know and thought this would not only help the sports bar, but also help us get to know more riders in our area. Please let me know.

Simply create an event in the Meets and rides forum with all of the deets (time, place, etc..) and see what happens. Post 4 to 7 days before and if weather is nice, people will come.

lol @ people will come. We're a lot like animals, If you build it, we will come! Does said bar give the first drink on the house? If so, many, many more people will come.

I am in spring area also. This would not be the vacant corner spot that was bennigans and then someone opened a bar that did not last too long?
