You'll have more questions later at the track where the class room is, where do you go now, tire pressure, might need a couple extra items you might forget which I have and probably other random little questions. So youre welcome to pit right next to me you'd like so I can help with questions and also the HalfFast guys will be there too so if youd rather pit near by them and have questions they have tons of knowledge as well

Make sure you have a check list. I could send you mine but it's huge. Anyways make your self one. First thing on the list that you do not want to forget behind is the bike key. It happen more often then you can think. And like everyone else here already said. Hydrate, go thru the entire bike, pack energy foods, RIDE YOUR RIDE and remember that this is a "motorcycle riding school" (check your eagle at the front gate) if you feel too tired or not safe, its OK to skip a session
Oh yeah... have fun!

Bring extra fuel, there is some available at the track but it's expensive. Listen to what everyone else has said and have fun! If you're not grinning ear to ear the day before, all day, and the day after you're doing it wrong.

Shave your body and rub some menthol water over your body..it will help keep you cool...and pour cold water over your bare body standing in front of a fan after every session..

I will reiterate both of these. No trackday org provides seating, and sitting on concrete all day sucks.

Secondly, depending on the racetrack, there's either limited (meaning unless you camp out the night before you won't get any) or no shade. The exception being TWS (Texas World Speedway) which often times has enough shade for everyone. Even still...I bring my ez-up. Baking in the sun all day sucks even worse than sitting on concrete.

That might work for your first day. If you like it (you will), the $50 for a 10'x10' canopy from academy is worth every. . penny.

No reason for a ezup at TWS (Texas World Speedway) they have outlets and shade available. Also do not buy the cheap ez ups. They WILL fall apart after 1-2 uses

Pack some advil too. By the end of the day, if you've been hanging off, you'll be very sore even with a weeks worth of squats as preparation. Taking advil before you drive home or before bed will help you move the next day.

Watch out dboi. Sounds like Jimrad may request some selfies.

What they are meaning about don't forget your key is. You will be so excited loading up and getting ready to go you might leave something important. Like your key. Happens quite a bit in are forms of Motorsports. I have a checklist that I mark off when I take my car to the track. Sucks when you leave an important item (helmet, gloves, key, etc..) at the house.

Tools

This may have been said already, but.....tools, tools, and more tools. I bring my bag o' hand tools, wrenches, socket set, drill, and whatever else I can round up to every track day. You never know when something will get loose, fall off, etc. Also, a set of spare nuts/bolts is a good investment. When I got my track bike, I got one of these sets for $20 or so at Cycle Gear, and it's come in handy more than once. Very portable, and has a little bit of everything- nuts, bolts, washers, valve stems, more.
