When you just have to trailer your bike...

I've seen them in Japan. Can't imagine those transmissions hold up long under that kind of stress, though to be fair they've got a lot of cars over there that don't weigh much more than the GW.

Sol: close, it is (or probably more accurately, was) a Venture. Same basic engine architecture. Little over 100k on this engine so far, but if I ever have to tear it down for rings, head gasket, anything like that I'll probably throw some vmax heads and cam on there. By itself that's worth 20-30 hp with proper jetting.

I just happen to have one...

I plan on redoing the headlight setup soon. These dual 4.5" lights suck.

Hey... were you at Jones Rd (?) near 249 around noon? I waved to a bike looking almost exactly like that sitting at an intersection.

Over to my friend's house up north. Headed to the BMOA rally this weekend and wanted to have it up there to tool around on. Will also be easier to get on/off of as I escort RV's to their spots.

Doubt it, unless someone "borrowed" it out of the parking garage here. It stays parked between 7AM-4:30PM during the week, and I'm rarely up in that area.

I'm not terribly interested in selling it. That said, I am looking to go with a different headlight setup on this bike, and I'd be willing to offer it up if someone wanted to make a mold from it. Dominator headlight setups are still widely available, but doesn't seem like anyone is making this screen anymore. From looking around on advrider, there are quite a few guys making molds and doing one-off fiberglass parts like this, and it doesn't look too hard. Once I get done with the z50 I may give it a shot myself.

i like the front end on your bike the way it is now, but if you were to go with something different, are you looking for something drastically different or??

I think if you wanted to go drastically different..., with your dual headlights, if you could get a Harley Road glide fairing that would look pretty sick, unless you dont like that look.

13 hd road glide ultra bs

edit: nevermind everything behind the fairing/headlight setup :P

The rat is an '87 that I've had for about 2 years. The sidecar rig is an '86 I just picked up earlier this year, so it still has all the factory plastics, I just can't find a decent front pic of the rat when it had the plastics.

Unfortunately, after going down during dirt drags this weekend, this is what it currently looks like:
10375867 1417756641830873 812709899 n

I'm still trying to find a video. I must have been going over 40 when I lost the front end. Luckily there was a vendor there who had a set of 7/8" bars for $30, so it was all pretty easy to get everything back where it went so I could ride home.
