Your first couple of rallys are cool but then it gets old. At least it did for me. Lots of Harleys, lots of Harley riders pretending to be badasses and lots of women flashing that should be kept hidden.
Too much drinking, music I don't care for and not enough bathrooms. I know the last one sounds funny but wait til you've had several beers and there's no place to pee. help you if you have to , cuz the portacans will be nasty.
On the other hand if you enjoy crowds, loud bikes and walking around, you'll have a blast.

From my experience at Mole Lake and Loan Star -
Showing up on a rice burner sport bike is like poking a sleeping bear.
No need to provoke the fires of - so, with that in mind -
NEVER GET MARRIED EITHER!

Lonestar is cool if you go early, Thu and Fri. Sat and Sun become a zoo.

Bike Week in Daytona is cool with all the demo rides and factory tents at the Speedway. Plus there's races to attend.

Sturgis seems too far away and too hot to ride to in Aug.

Never been too tempted to rallies like ROT where you have to pay and your enclosed in a fence.

I've been to Lonestar and Sturgis.

Lonestar was small - seemed like it was trying too hard when I went. There weren't enough naked chicks.

Sturgis was huge. I rode up with my dad and my sister and we had a really good time. The roads up there are phenomenal and the weather in SD is really pleasant, almost chilly, even in August. We rented a house in town, just a few blocks off the main strip, so we were near all the action. It's not a family-friendly place, but it was fun.

Rallies are something to do once, to say you did it. But, like what was previously said - if you like crowds, loud bikes, and naked women you don't want to see naked, then you'll enjoy them.

Here are the pics from Sturgis. We rode back down through WY and CO. MUCH better roads than KS and OK.

Like everyone already stated, do it for the experience. I don't know how old you are, but you're going to be a lot younger than the crowd I can promise. You probably shower a lot more as well lmao. I love to people watch so it can be fun for me.
