I also have been looking for the Helicopter transportation insurance. If any one knows about any insurance company that offer this for out state please let me know...

Most health insurance plans will cover most of if not all of a helicopter ride. Best additional insurance is the AFLAC policy that covers 100% of costs for physical injuries. It's marketed a lot as an "extreme sports" policy. I pay $20 a month and have like $15,000 of coverage. If you get $15,000 in medical bills from an injury and your insurance covers $10,000 of it you still get the full $15,000 from the AFLAC policy paid in cash directly to you. In that case you can cover your out of pocket expenses and have enough for a new bike left over.

Does it cover out of state as well?

I've had aflac for a while. They dont cover you under their short term disability if you were racing at the time of your injury.....
