HOUSTON - A woman's SUV rolled when it was struck by two cars during an overnight crash in west Houston.

According to officers with the Houston Police Department, the crash happened around 12:15 a.m. Thursday along W. Sam Houston Parkway at Westview Drive.

Police said the woman ran a red light, causing two vehicles to strike her SUV. The SUV rolled, trapping the woman inside. She had to be freed by firefighters and was taken to the hospital in stable condition.

The woman allegedly told police she was following the directions on her GPS and was distracted at the time of the crash.

The drivers in the other vehicles were not injured, police said.
So her GPS told her to run the red light? WTF

Darwin doesn't work fast enough sometimes...

The GPS people are the worst they always switch 4 lanes at the last gawd minute to take a exit, interchange, etc. Having that attached to the dash is just a warning for the rest of us to watch out for the dumbass.

I noticed they changed the wording from what they said last night on the news to what they wrote down in the article.

It doesn't really matter what distracted her; she was distracted and ran a red light. She's at fault. She will pay (or her insurance will).
