Re: LSTD 6/3 and CMRA Race 6/4-6/5

Do you guys brake going into Big Bend? I do, but not a ton... I was talking to Brandon (Spradling) and he said that he barely even rolls off the throttle.

Of course he was running 1:23s on an SV650... I've got MUCH to learn, haha.

I wanna go back and see what lap times im runnin cuz I have noooo idea, but its a fun track. it's a loong drive too

No offense dude... but on a GSXR1000 with the speed you build up in the straight before that you HAVE to brake. The turn actually tightens up when going clockwise... now if you're talking about going counter clockwise, might be a different story cause the turn widens as you go through.

that's right, on an SV he doesn't builld enough speed, i downshift to 3rd, tap the brakes on the turn in point, and then hold constant throttle, then as i hit the clip point, i roll on =b

Syd, doesn't matter what bike he's riding when he's going 10 seconds faster than anyone here... He's still building up lots of front straight speed because he gets such good drive out the Rattlesnake. I bet he has a higher corner entry speed than most people on 1000s.

Actually... 7 and some change. He did a 1:21.5 that's hauling some serious booty with a 71hp bike!

Isn't it a fun little track... it seems like you are leaned over all the time. Only bad thing is it is a tire monster.... it chews through them things like butter.

Never ran the track that direction.... I know going the other way I never let off the gas until it was time to brake for the rattlesnake.
