LMMP is no more

From their facebook:

Announcement: Our insurance lapsed on March 31st because of the lack of proper fencing and the continued thefts and vandalism (over $90,000, including the theft of a new $75,000 track loader in December) to the property. We have attempted over the past 3 weeks to locate alternate insurance with no success. We simply cannot afford to fence the entire property and this has resulted in the voiding of our lease. We have invested well over $60,000 of our own personal funds and thousands of hours in the property since leasing it August 1st, but as many of you know, we could not get a break with the weather and re-zoning issue and now the pipeline work - all situations not of our own making - and our personal funds have been exhausted as a result. It is with great disappointment that we have to abandon plans but with no insurance, we're out of business; we will not borrow funds to continue. After discussions with our landlord, we have chosen to move on and regret that we have to do so. The property has been leased to another group and we wish them success in their endeavors.

LaMarque Motosports Park. It was an old golf course that was being built into an offroad riding park. They had about 20 miles of trails and were working on building some MX style tracks.
