Shock work/revalving?

May be a month or two before i have the funds but id like to get my gsxr shock rebuilt. Its a 2000gsxr 600 rear shock. I have a spare that ill get rebuilt while the stock one is still on the bike. Im totally open for suggestions. basically i just want a better feeling shock when riding track days, or two up. Give me your ideas and an estimation of cost to do. I weight about 190lbs.... maybe revalving, give me your ideas

thanks in advance

I'd shop around the for sale thread on the race boards, CMRA, WERA, or gixxer.com etc or ebay for a used Penske or Ohlins. Probably pick one up for less than 500.00 I'd think, vs. I'd guess 300.00 or so to start on yours. Maybe Patrick has another kit idea.

andy at metricmotorcycles.com did the one for my 7r and it was awesome. give him a shout. completely tore down and rebuilt with race tech parts. really nice shock afterwards. would come with a spring too. cost me like 400 bucks but totally worth it. plus you know it's a fresh build.

I know Patrick RaceTech'd Brandon's stock shock on last years racebike (05' 636). Brandon did great on it, heck he even got a few Expert podiums on it.
