Depending on where you start I might hit some miles with you. If you are going to end up taking 1488 to 2978 then I will and I'll just pull off as we pass Hardin Store Road on 2978. I also use to manage that car wash right there on 2978 so I have a couple keys and we could stop for a bath if interested(my bike needs it big time).

Cool, I rode part of this route last weekend and want to check out that east side run Critical and I did'nt get to take last time. Here's the plan, let's meet up @ Krogers @ 2920 & Kykendahl, from there we head down Kykendahl, up Huffsmith to 2978, 1488 west bound, 149 north (runs through Montgomery), 1375 east & take a break in New Waverly. We will head up towards Livingston and back down to around the 1960/Huffman or Dayton area. I have not mapped out anything past New Waverly yet but will have a route put together for us.

For those of you not interested in a race through the route, this ride is for you. I don't plan to break any land speed records.

Your thoughts??

That's what Saturday's for!!! My bike is always clean so I may pass on the bath. Maybe next time though.

There is a Kroger's there but lets plan on meeting at the Walmart at the same intersection. I am thinking of getting an early start, lets say 8:30-9:00. Stands up when were through BS'ing...

None of my 9 buddies are going to make it as they all went to the hill country this weekend.

I should be game but I won't be 100% until the day of. I'm only 19 too, so I dunno how I'd do with the bar hopping...

If you feel uncomfortable, slow down. That's what I do. There's a saying, "Ride your own ride." which means ride within your comfort level. Keeping up with someone isn't worth if it means hurting yourself or your bike. I know it can be hard to do but make safety your first priority and your pride second.

Also, I hope your riding with gear on. Helmet, jacket, glove, pants and boots. We can definitely go on a ride some time. I may not be able to make it out this weekend because next weekend, I'll possibly be heading out to the hill country to ride with some fellow Magna owners. You're welcome to join us if you want.

I don't plan on bar hopping. I think Critical was kidding. Bars and bikes don't mix for me.

How many miles are we looking at total? It sounds like a great ride but I got some other stuff I have to take care of tomorrow as well. Maybe each lunch in New Waverly and head back towards home, unless ya'll are deadset of going to Livingston.

The GPS route I have shows 215ish. I know it's going to be a little long but I have been trying to run this route for at least a month now. If you can't make it no problem. There will be more cruises I am sure...

Hahaha, I just got home and it is 5:41 AM so I may not be going anywhere tomorrow. Atleast not until 3 or so!! And Azylum, I checked out the ride info and I don't even KNOW where 288 is so that means it's gotta be a long way from me. If I can wake up in the morning I'll meet up with ya'll at Wal-Mart and just pull off at 149(just to meet the cruiser guys) but I honestly don't see myself waking up anytime before 3 after a night like tonight.

288 is south west of town.

I have not heard from critical so I may be solo today. Get some sleep and we will catch you next run..

Well, guess I was to late. Rolled into Walmart @ 9:04 and didn't see any bikes . I hauled up Kurk checking gas stations and didnt see anyone so I turned around in the Woodlands. Sucks because today is a great day for riding. Not to hot out this morning. Really wanted to see the lake today .. oh well .. next time. Going to go ahead and change her oil and give her a bath. Going to have to ride somewhere after that .. its just to nice outside not to ride.

bro, I hit it @ 9..... I went solo... Guess I should have called ya. I'll PM you my cell for next time. I thought maybe you had a long night last night..

It took me 4.5 hours to run it with no stopping for the exception of one stop for gas. The forest run was the best part of the whole trip IMO. I ended up crusing up towards the north side of Livingston, rode the east side of the lake and came back down through Denton.. There were quite a few 70MPH speed limit roads between New Wavery & Livingston so I made better time than I thought I was going to.

Where are you thinking of crusing to? I am going to rest for a bit and may be out in a hour or so...

If anyone wants to meet up I'll be at the Kroger gas station at 4 corners in Tomball(249 and 2920) @ 5pm, leaving by 5:10.
