You did some studies about this bike, right?
It's an amazing bike, but you do have to rebuild the engine quite often.

I have done my research, and the service schedule is not that bad. I no longer commute daily on a motorcyle, and my mileage has dropped to several hundred miles a month. At my current rate, the Aprilia won't be that bad. I am aware of any and all issues related to the 450/550's, and at this point those minor issues(mostly mapping issues relating to cold starting(this is texas, what is cold??)) are not enough to scare me away.
Oh yeah, did i mention I think the bike is dead sexy!?!?

You don't understand.
At a bike show, me, Mike and Max were just drooling over this thing.
Of course I set on the bike and... ground was about a feet away.

Seriously though, when you talk to AF1, ask about the engine problems they have fixed, they told Jody that his was an "exception".
I have done a good bit of reading over on the SMJ forums and have weighed the options. I appreciate the info more than these words can possible show. I guess it's back to the drawing boards. . .got any info on the Husqvarna SMR510? That's my other choice.

What I'm trying to say is "I FREAKIN LOVE THIS BIKE!".
If the ground wasn't so far away, if I had 8,500, if I didn't have to mess around with the engine, I would've got myself one as well!
