Then in the afternoon you would be allowed to ride independent of the line, but would not be allowed to do much in the way of passing and there would be instructors/control riders watching you and if you look like you are in trouble, they will single you out and make you follow them...mental should not be an issue your first day...
Only fast line does that, ridesmart at lstd do a round robin first session then it's free game after that with passing on the straights then in the afternoon it's passing on the outside and straights.

That is besides the point. You are still correct that mental blocks should not be the big concern on the first track day.

The trick is...

don't mention it to her.

Cuz if you go the other route and brag to her about all the chick's you been banging, it doesn't go well.

I did my first trackday with RideSmart back in November...I bought my bike the previous May.

I will say that I was definitely nervous and probably a bit of an annoyance to other riders because of my pace, but it is a "learn at your own pace" environment. The first thing you'll need to do is learn the line of the track...if I could do it over again, I would have found a layout of the track and then found somebody on Youtube that had a GoPro attached, just so I'd be more comfortable.

I did my 2nd trackday (same track, MSRH) back in March. It was a night and day difference...I was much more confident and could feel the difference in my riding skills (I'm still no Marquez lol).

Long story short, get a feel for the track before ever riding it, and adjust everything about your riding in increments.

I've been waiting for my buddy's bike to get here from the states and in the meantime the track day is sold out. This was the last track day at Mugello before I have to put my bike on a boat and send it your way. It looks like my first track day is gonna have to be in Houston after I get there. Bummer, at least I did a track day in my car at Mugello.
