KTM Pro Sr 50

Anyone had one? Pros and Cons? Kids about 65 pounds and 48" tall. Has a CRF50 now and it's just a bit to small and slow. Mainly rips around the fields and small jumps.....

KTM is the best of the best. If the boy likes riding the SR pro will be a beast. My son will be moving up to the KTM in 6 months or so, he started on his PW50 at 2 and now rides both peewee tracks at 3 Palms. The only downside of them is cost. The Kawis are comparable but the quality of components isn't equal.

I'll check with my buddy to see if he still has a KTM 50 in his shop and if he wants to part with it. I've ridden it and it RIPS!

Yeah those things are faaast. Only problems i've heard of them are clutches burning up way too quick.

Centrif clutches don't bother me. I've been messing with them forever, it's an art form.

He isn't into MX really, just like to go fast. I've looked into doing work on the CRF but at the end of the day it won't run with the KTM. I figure the power and suspension on the KTM will allow him to learn how to ride better, and we can worry with a clutch later when he's ready for an 85.
