Was the front nose held on by velcro? It completely fell off. He was lucky that did not happen when he was near a big cliff and went over.

I was on the hov next to a guy with a totally rucked chain.

I told him, "your chain is going to break right now and I'm going to film it"

he siad, naaa it will last a little longer

it didn't break

Looked to me like the chain came off and he hit the rear brake too hard. I dint think the chain was the direct cause of the crash.
In any case that chain was roached.

Did he "bottom out" right before he took that left turn? Looks like his bike slammed into the ground, and you can hear it as well. I bet that knocked his chain off...
Super soft suspension no bueno...

that was a hard dismount with a perfect 10 belly flop onto the pavement.

Going back and looking I think he did bottom out and the chain came off. He put his hand up I guess to motion who ever was behind him ... and he braked to hard or the chain wrapped up and slung his off. Off all the things I do not miss is cleaning and lubing my chain. I need to learn about the sag to make sure it is not too tight or too loose.

The chain could have gotten in a bind and caused that. To me that looks like what happened. Plus, it makes no sense that he would use the rear at all at that point

You can see his right foot move forward after the brake light comes on. I never see the bottom of the chain tighten

Loose Chain Fail

His whole body moved forward. May gotten in a bind between the arm and the sprocket bolts
