Be safe and think out there!

http://www.denverpost.com/news/ci_25...tower-road-due

Guys and Gals the best way to stay alive out there is to think. I love speed as much as the next guy. I've had dreams where I split lanes in heave traffic and even had nightmares where I crossed a double yellow to make a pass on a cage. Even taken quick trips to mexico where the speed limits are on your right wrist.

I don't know if I would be considered an ATGATT seeing as how realistically I'm an Almost All the Gear ALL Most of All the Time rider. But nothing me off more than to see a fellow rider with their helmet strapped to the bike instead on their heads. Think brothas and sistas! Never been down the road before, slow the heck down, maintain proper distances, and for crying out loud if you own a lid wear the stupid thing!

RIP rider.

ATGATT wouldn't have mattered under an 18wheeler. Never liked riding side by side. Leaves little safety margin for maneuvres. me off every time another bike passes me on the same lane. Last ride out to Llano, some dude on an FZ8 meandered through our staggered formation like we are a chicane for his amusement.

I guess he was in such a hurry that, when he got to the next town not far down the road, he stopped by the side of the road, got off the bike and watched us rolled by.

I tend to ride in close formation with people if the pace is really slow but avoid side by side unless we are coming to a complete stop. Still the helmet strapped to the bike tempts me to believe that Darwin just may have been on to something.

Never understood why people would spend $500+ on fancy helmets with fancy vents, only to strap them on the side of their bikes...
