sorry we didn't get much of a chance to chat, but by the time i got home i realized we met once a ways back at the post office off west gray, i had the SV with a good bit of GSXR stuff slapped on it at the time....i actually traded it for the duc, albeit the duc was really neglected.
Wait a second...
That was you???!!!
:laughing6

It was very nice to see you again.
What a job you did to that Duc.

We had a big screen/sound issue today.
Also if there's any sport event, we don't get a chance to see it in a big screen.
I really wanna have a place that we are guaranteed to have our own.
I think we have a pretty good chance with Vito's Clear Lake.
I spoke with the manager today and going to visit him next Sunday.
He said there's a game room for 50 with a TV.
That sounds great to me.
We'll see.

thanks! that duc has been a labor of love....

not to be threadjacking or anything, but here's a pic of it the day i brought it home:
487379166 7ddbbcfdcf m
more than a few wires roasted, motor in dire need of a tune, all pads almost metal-to-rotor, both tires gone, chain/sprockets gone, the plastics on it in terrible shape, and about a zillion other problems.

Oh, feel free to treadjack.
Let's talk about your bike!

I think you should post a project report.
I'm sure everybody wants to read, I know I do.

i made a brief write up on the actual motor switch-a-roo a ways back, it can be read here.

i should add that mark and i messed around with the 4 valve motor for a solid week or two before making it run half-decent again, then maybe three weeks later he even helped me load it up when i sold it :icon_bigg

all i've really done since that write up is strip off the SBK bodywork, add the single headlight, rattle-can the frame/front wheel and make the tail from a piece of sheetmetal. it's got a bicycle speedometer (just like the SV ) and a $7 tailight from autozone, that's supposed to be for a trailer but actually looks like it's supposed to be there.....

quite a few pics of it and the SV among other things can be viewed at this link.

i put it on the ducati.ms SBK picture thread, so it may have been the one you saw there.

and yeah, i live pretty close to downtown.

say you have a rolling chassis but no wheels? i've got a 3-spoke rear just waiting to go on flea-bay i'll let go for really cheap, but if you've got or can find a five spoke front, i'll trade you the 3-spoke set for it

send me a PM if you want to get together, or need help with it. i've been kicking around the idea of building another and would be glad to help out.
