There's a guy talking about ceramic bearings, BST C/F wheels, Brocks exhaust, PCV

Though things like the bike are cheaper then "reg" bikes, your ape had all ohlins

Come on over and take a spin, you'll luv it!

Though im eyeballing an ebay auction right now for a mint '84 GTi, might have to buy another toy or replace a toy, I can't keep as many toys as somebody I know, lol

Hehe... you know it. The S3R has full Ohlins too, but that came from the factory so doesn't count.

I kept toying with the idea of getting a lil' dirt bike to go hop the dirt mounds that the developers around us are always piling up. It's been 14yrs since we moved here and they are still building new subdivisions... and probably will be till I retire.

Ooh... GTI. I had an '89 GTI (A2 chassis) for good part of 10yrs. Most fun I've had of any car I've owned. A1 chassis is legendary too. Undisputed best AutoX FWD of its day. Those unibodies are flexy like a wet noodle compared to cars today, but them Germans sure knew how to make them handle well in spite of. Best AutoXers back them can hang that inside rear wheel a perfect 6" off the pavement all the way around a curve. That famous "Bunny hop" looks like pure automotive poetry when done right.

Mine just before I donated to American Lung Association.

I wrenched on that car so much I probably R&R'ed every fastener at least 3 times over. Spray painted the Zender body kit (plus mirrors and euro bumpers) myself with Du Pont Centari urethane enamel in matching Alpine White.

420w of Hella halogens on it (2x 80/100 H4 headlights, 2x 55w driving lights, 2x 55w fog lights) would light up Grand Canyon on a moonless night.

Heck, if I knew they are going for that kind of prices today, I'd probably have kept it.

I know its fuel injected so no jetting concerns, but did the new intake/filter change the way it runs?

I really didn't notice much gain out of the intake other then different kinds of noises. I'd guess you really need a tuner to optimize the intake/exhaust. And it's been too windy to top out, lol

Yes the wind effects top speed dramatically.

Uh oh, that gti didn't hit it's reserve, another toy?

One more week of kIds school

After that I'm going to give commuting a try. 30mi mostly frwy, but I go into work at 0500, so very few cars and leave at 1500.

Both ways I can use the HOV lanes, just hope I don't get squished by a bus.
