Sounds like the teeth on the clutch lever arm might have sheared.
Like Bluewave said, pull the cover off and see what's going on.

RTV that ho. You can reuse/reinforce the old gasket, or make a complete new one.

If you can move the actuator on the engine by hand, something isnt connected/broke off the pulley.

Yeah I reused my gaskets on my stator cover and other things before. Just used a little tiny bit of ultragrey gasket maker and perfect.

this is the rod that the clutch cable attaches to. is this how it should look or is something missing/damaged? any help is appreciated!!! this is the end inside the case.

Have you looked at the plates for damage or change in color? Sounds like a linkage problem.

2 of the metal plates and 2 of the friction plates were stuck together. hopefully that was the problem. new clutch on the way.
