R6 keeps dying

At operating temp, the bike idles really low - like around 750-1000rpm. This is lower than when I first bought it back in December. The bike dies after a long stretch of decceleration, like after I've downshifted to first at a light, and I pull in the clutch - the engine just drops completely out, and I'm stuck trying to restart. Sometime when I pull in the clutch, the engine will sag, but then recover to idle, other times not.

I haven't noticed any lack of performance, or fuel mileage. She runs fine.

I've got a K&N, and its not "too" dirty, but could probably use a freshening up. I don't know the condition of the plugs, or injectors, and such.

Its a 2004 model, with 19 k on the clock

raise your idle speed. At normal temp you should be idleing at 1200 or so rpm.

The gas with ethanol produces less power, therefore your bike idles lower for the same amount of fuel. Just raise the idle back to 1200 - 1300 rpm and you'll be o.k.

At least you don't have one of the new fly by wire R6's or R1's that don't have an idle adjustment!

does the computer set itself? or do you have to hack the ecu to do it?

found the idle screw. Its on the right side, beneath the upper fairing, just above the clutch. Set it at about 12-1300 and she's all good.
