One ride and hooked

Howdy everyone!

My friend let me ride his CRF450 last week and I've caught the riding bug big time. Since I spend a lot of time in the country, I figure Id start with a CRF 250X to learn on before getting a bigger faster street bike for commuting. I imagine I can find some good advice from the riders here and hopefully I'll be able to return the favor as the years go on.

I think you are heading to the right direction.
Just take MSF class, get proper riding gear (good helmet, jacket, gloves, boots and pants recommended) and be smart, cautious, have fun and spend enough time on two wheels!

This. All gear all the time. Don't be wearing regular jeans either.
