1992 Z50

I bought a 1992 Z50 from a member a couple years ago with the intention of restoring it.
Right after I bought it, I took it apart and now it is sitting in a box, similar to this:

bmx parts

and I want it to look like this again:

99100715 Zr50R

Most, if not all of the parts are there. I even have 2 engines to make the rebuild, but after thinking it through, I don't have the time nor the skills to do a full restoration.

What I want done is - Power coat/paint all parts. Rebuild the engine. Get the parts that are needed, and put it back together.

Can anyone recommend someone to do the job? and does anyone know more a less how much it will cost?

You would be better off to buy one already restored and sell your's in a box to partially defer some of the cost. Even if you rebuild/restore it yourself with free labor you would be spending more than it will be worth when completed. Add in labor costs and you would be way way under water. Unless there is sentimental attachment to that box of parts it doesnt make sense to pay someone to restore it. Unless you want to drive it to Las Vegas so you can see yourself on TV.

I can do said things. Turn key job $1500 to 2000 depending on aftermarket parts.
Or you could buy one running for $800
But it would not be as cool as a custom built one.

Probably closer to $600 and then spend $100 for new plastics to refresh it.

Here's one local for $700 that hasn't sold in 3 weeks so surely would go home with you for less.

If any of you guys is serious, PM me. Seeing my options, it looks like I may be better off selling it.

I will let everything I have go for 180 and a six pack on Texan made non light beer. This includes the 2 engines.

Do you still have your boxes of parts, or did you unload them? I'm getting an itch for a mini.

thanks for dealing with all the scheduling and meeting up with me. hope to do this mini justice.

(apparently it won't let you leave buyer feedback unless the thread is in classifieds. if you want the extra feedback see if you can get a mod to move this thread.)
