EZ Tag balderdash

I got an EZ Tag today for my gsxr600. THANK GAAWD, no more sitting in line to pay with change on the beltway.

The only problem is...I expected it to be a window sticker just like the ones issued for cars. This little guy is a 3 inch little white brick with adhesive velcro it sticks to. The instructions say to mount it to the top center of my windscreen... not diggin' that idea. And with a double-bubble windscreen, it's a little funky trying to get it to sit flush under there.

My question to you fellow riders is, does it still work if i stick it somewhere around my gauge cluster? Any neat ideas on where it can be discretely mounted and still be legal/functional? Will it still read it if i stick it under my rear seat cowl?

'preciate it.

Mine is in the trunk. Don't really care, cause if it doesn't read the tag, a picture will be taken, then they check it and see you have an account and charge it accordingly.

Trunk. Don't worry. They can match the plates to bill you if it happens to not pick up

Mine is under the rear seat. Funny thing is on my account (online) there's an alert saying my license plate on my bike is difficult to read and needs to be relocated... So obviously it's picking up the brick... and I'm not relocating the plate as I love the fender eliminator look.

Have you seen how much tires for motorcycles cost? That's some bullshit right there

I got one for my bike that i keep under my seat as well, but I honestly didn't get it to use the tollways (I use my car in that case). I got it because at my job, they have EZ Tag readers to automatically open the entry gates for you. Sure as beats having to take a glove off, open my jacket pocket, pull my ID out to scan, etc. etc.

I get mine from WWH and H.O.P. with a motohouston discount so I have never seen high tire prices!

That's why I put car tires on. Cheaper than moto tires, and if they can make my civic do 10's, then they'll be great on my bike. Plus, I can rotate them and they'll last forever. I only go straight anyway.

Compared to toll fees and car tires, motorcycle tires are high
