LSTD doesn't have as much classroom AND instruction, that's why you like it more, but as far as safer, RIDESMART has less wrecks

Well next time let me get through a few corners to warm my tires up before you whack the throttle open on the liter bike there Captain. I have to run my little bike hot to keep up with a big dog. right:

Re: How was the Trackday 2day?

moody mentioned that in level 2 there might be less traffic than what i encountered in level 1. if i ride in level 2 will there be less slow downs or is this going to happen in any level?

what did the white and pink shirts over the leathers mean? i passed alot of them on the outside and wanted to know if they had to stick together.

i know i havent been doing this long but ALL the guys that i was trying to pass or passed made me not want to cuz they couldnt hold their lines and had some messed entry and exit techniques. they needed to spend more time in the class talking about lines and showing level 1 instead of dave asking every 5 minutes, "By the show of hands who would buy a..." :director:

That will happen in any level. The first 2 times I did track days, I rode level C (LoneStar). Then, I made the jump to level 2 (Ridesmart). Then I did 2 group Bs (LoneStar). Then I did Level 4 (Ridesmart). I will probably continue to ride Group B w/ Lonestar and Group 4 w/ Ridesmart for a while. Everyday I've been there and in every group I've been in, I've passed tons of guys and I've been passed by tons (but not more than I've passed )

Lap traffic is just a track day inevitability.

Well... my opion is not worth much but here it goes because you seem to have a bit of know how in what you are doing and probably are dealing with a lot of what I am, except you are just a couple track days behind me. So....

I think you hit the nail on the head..... why in the do they put a bunch of guys/gals on a race track and not mention the fact that there will be different paced riders in the same group and not explain what holding your line is. Sure if you have an open track in front of you, practice the best line but when you get shown a wheel *coming up in a corner that probably means somebody is there and may want to come around you. So, unless you want to swap paint it is probably best to hold your line. (There was a little venting there.... but after lapping a guy on a GSXR1000 3 times and having to set him up time each in the same spot becase he had to much throttle happiness in the straights [except the embankment because I passed him there once too] *is a bit fustrating... obviously he was working on how fast he could go once the bike was standing up and how early he could brake for a corner) Anyways, I personally will not do a level 2 with Ridesmart again but will be trying out the B group with Lonestar. I here the B guys with Lonestar hold a little better pace then the RideSmart level 2 group. So, in conculsion I am wondering why they do not mention holding lines and why they do not have a better established system for placing students with levels.

Oh and... I have never heard mention of the best advice I ever received from another class I took... Which was if you feel like you are going to fast for the corner.... LEAN HARDER! (This would have probably helped Javier more then any other advice.)

Okidoki I am done for now. Over and Out *right:

the instructors had on vests. the ones with the white shirts were in level 2 advanced and were in that wore mike sanchez shirts. i was just wondering if they had to hold back while he filmed other students.i kept up with that group for a lap trying to learn some free without paying, lol
