New guy from Galveston/West End

Jay here- new to the forum 2013 Ninja 650 ABS and 2014 Ninja 300 SE here.. Wanted to introduce myself. 650 is my primary bike, just have the 300 as "another toy".

Have been riding since last summer, looking to start riding with some of you guys!

I work a pretty flexible schedule (off every weekend, evenings, nights)... Most of time I get to make my own schedule!

Same here, Chris! You saw the "Jay" that had been up for 24 hours lol. I just got in from the ride/road racing.... 350 miles RT since I saw ya this morning! Only a brief break in between the return. Downloading the GoPro video to my PC now...

Was looking like rain, and when I hit the island the south wind really kicked in. Hope to make the meet next week if I am back in town. I am gonna sleep for a few hours and will be back out again tonight!

Take care and stay safe out there......

Thanks Jay. First 2 bikes (my fave is the 650._ Got the ABS model on both.... It has kicked in a couple of times when drivers not paying attention nearly cause accidents...

Probably going to sell or trade in the 2014 300 soon for something else as a second bike...

Stay safe out there....

Welcome to MH. So riding the 650 and the 300 ... whats your opinion on moving to the 650 from a 300? Will I still want more bike after riding the 650? I do not need the 150 mph wind in my hair .. but a little burst of speed now and then is not a bad thing.

I bought the 650 and 300 at the same time. I have come to love the 650 (can ride upright if you want) - has a lot of power. I am happy with my 650 and pushing 3k miles. By comparison, I have about 800 on the 300. A 300 is OK if you want a beginner bike. If I hadn't had a 650, I would have wanted more than the 300 after a short period of time. I haven't found myself needing anything more than the 650.

I think you would be happy with the 650. I went with the ABS model for about 100-200 more, and it has already saved me a couple of times!

Sorry for the late reply- worked out of town all week last week and haven't been on much!

Stay safe out there!

Yoooooo blue what's up man. When are we gonna hit the streets, been looking for a riding buddy near by besides family "they're always working crazy hours" hit me up when your out and about and you need someone to keep those make-up pushers from running you over. Lmao I hate when I'm riding and the cause of an almost accident is because some woman is busy putting make-up on, instead of watching the road. But I love when they don't expect me to give them a good BRAAAAAP! Because then they spaz out like a crackhead and screw up they're make-up!! Facial expressions "PRICELESS"
