I personally love the sound of a crossplane. Whats the difference between the two? And I realize they have more then enough power but honestly I think thats part of the attractiveness I have for them. Weather this makes sense I think id have more respect for an r1 and before you go crazy mind you. Im am not NOT saying the r6 doesn't have enough power I respect all but Idk I just think it would tame me more. I admit I love power although im not stupid either, I know my limits.

Depends on what you're using it for. I'd say R6 for track, R1 for street. If it's a planker, you can track it too.

I can respect that ..I have a feeling ill end up with a r6 but iv just always wanted a r1. The first bike I saw getting it down the freeway doing wheelies was a r1. Which in return started my love for sport bikes plus my dirt bike I had when I was 9yrs.

Is a r1 really that much different for track nd back roads use then a r6 ? I know the weight difference is pretty substantial from what iv heard. But is it less agile or is it just more effort in the riders part.

The 09+ are actually quite flickable but you shouldn't be pushing yourself on the roads too much to complain, imo. Both are GREAT bikes. I have an 08 R6 and an 09 R1.

Dont know why, most of those people will never be able to push the bike past its capabilities.

The platform is there, is what I'm getting at. So many people hate on that bike while it consistently hands over in race trim. If this is a street discussion only then I'll shut up
