WHICH NEW BIKE...

Myself and a few friends have decided to buy a new bike for track days and endurance racing. We have it narrowed down to the 07cbr600 and the 07gsxr600.

We can get the cbr for 8550 OTD and the gsxr for 8100 OTD (out-of-state, no sales tax).

Anyone have experience as far as parts availability (cbr) or any other issues/problems/pros/cons that we might not have thought about? :confused1

Thanks, and see y'all out there!

I'd got with the CBR, it's lighter, more powerful and crashes better.

Yeah, it doesn't break the frame behind the steering head the way the GSXRs do.

Like I said, it could come down to the tuners. It was the opposite in the wsbk supersport. Don't want to give out a spoiler, but the kawi guy had to wring the neck and carry way more speed through the turns to keep up.

Not that these little differences in power and handling make a bit of difference to mere mortals like us.

Out of state huh? Where at? Souther Powersports has em for like $8385, another place in alabama has em for about $85XX... Dont be fooled, driving all the way down there just to realize of hidden charges. Driving 400-800 miles then getting there and it not being what you were told over the phone. All they're gonna do is say "have a nice trip back to houston" lol and that would suck.

So 8550.. your probably looking at close to 9300 after TTL.. when you can get it for $9700 OTD at Freedom Motorsports in richwood... save money from gas, food, renting a trailer if you have to, etc..

besides the fact that suzuki has a horrible resale value, honda's new bike looks(mechanically) sweet. but what do you wanna use a new bike for track anyways? just get a moded sv cuz your gonna end up throwing 2k into mods alone for the new bike

A dealer outside of Atlanta has the RR for $8100+ fees.
Anybody know anything about licensed racers getting a bike in a crate?
