S1000rr vs ZX10R super thrash....(vids)

We had a test session today with Dudewhrsmybike, BunLT, R1LE#18 and my S1000RR. We had a blast, results are a bit inconclusive but....we tested none the less.. Unfortunately, my GoPro must have Alzheimers because it lost footage a couple times, lost atleast 4 races..fortunately for me, it was the races that Dudewhrsmybike won....... But seriously speaking, we had two races where Gary put a couple bike lengths on me and the camera didn't record it.

Info:

Dudewhrsmybike, 2011 ZX10r, slip on, Woolich flash, stock wheel base, -1 tooth, quick shifter. Rider weight 158lbs suited (as of today).

BunLT, 2011 ZX10r, slip on, Woolich flash, stock wheel base, -1 tooth, quick shifter. Rider weight 170lbs suited

Me, 2013 S1000RR, Brocks CT full Ti exhaust, custom map, 5" extended arm, -1 tooth, quick shifter, 201.8 lbs suited (as of today)

Me vs Dude

Me vs BunLT

3 WIDE

BunLt vs Dude, plus sweeper footage and a jacked up run between me and Dude..

As I mentioned, we had two races where Dude beat me that the camera didn't record, the first race he won by 2-3 bike lengths and pulling. The other one he beat me by 1 bike length before I topped out. With my current gearing, he definitely has more top speed and top end acceleration after 170... (note, 43lb rider weight difference)..

Our next trip out will have R1LE#18's ZX14 monster tuned/geared and ready to kill.... More/better vids with multiple cameras will happen next time.

Ok, I just noticed that on S1000rr vs ZX10 race 1, the second pass on the vid IS one of the races where dude beat me, I thought we lost that footage but it is on there. Obviously my bike tops out at 179-180 indicated and bounces off the limiter when he really takes off...

Glad we do have one of his victories on film.

Gary's victory shot.... I had just tapped the limiter at this point..
Garywins zpsc02e4846

There was one other run in this direction that Gary won by a little more.... All of the other runs, I won....going the other direction...weird..

Gary is visibly smaller when tucked. He doesn't look like he catches much wind. Good races. Nice weather in Mexico

My problem is that I'm tall and i have to remember to scoot back to lean over all the way.

Maybe i can get dude when we go to the drag strip.

At the strip you can remover your seat and get a little lower or buy one and strip it to the plastic. Take the foam away and you get an inch or so lower

Sure thing Tim.. I may try to do another one in about a month or so. I'm about to be working every weekend for the next month so I'm out for a while.

Do everyone else, yeah the roll races are fun as ... Less skill needed and much easier on the bikes then drag racing at the track.

I just fired up turdbo today so it may make an appearance at the next meet...
