With that being said, I'm willing to loan out a jacket if it will fit even though I will not be on this ride. If interested PM to pick-up.
I could ride it in only a t-shirt, flip flops, and shorts, and never go over 30mph.

I would never encourage anyone that's a noob and had never been on 3090 not to be fully protected.

If you have a magic speech to keep noobs from crashing, please post it and we'll read it at every rider's meeting.

I said if he is comfortable with the gear he has then go for it. Sounds like they are going to ride regardless.

Yea, and we've had noobs that were comfortable in their gear and they crashed.

Are you offering to transport his bike if he's unable to ride after a crash?

------------->>"Early" Noob Ride Sat 29 <<-------------

Sounds like a noob ride that will turn into a not so noob ride.

"Us borc dorks up front will haul , but just ride your own ride"...that never works.

If your going to call it a noob ride, then any road you take shouldn't be an issue, until you don't stick to your own noob rules.

So is it a noob ride or should we BORC it up?

JK I am working anyway, I would have join otherwise , it looks like a nice group of people. And yes 3090 is a great road for riding , but even at noob pace it can be challenging for a new rider so take it easy and enjoy the scenery...

Have fun tomorrow

I'm not going to argue about what gear is required for the streets, All road riding is at some point dangerous. I do agree with you though Bevo, wearing the proper gear is always the smart choice.

I'm more then willing to lead a noob ride. If they can make it to 1488 area through/around Houston then I'm confident they will make it through the forest. ( FYI, not trying to thread jack)

Full gear encouraged, Not mandatory.

If you have 30 riders, you have no control of what's happening say 20 riders back, unless you have experienced helpers scattered throughout the group regulating the pace.

It looks to me like Lucar will be the only BORC "dork" on the ride so it's up to him how he keeps the pace.

We only BORC it up on someone's moderate ride, not noob rides

It seems that he's referring to fast people attending a noob ride and not riding the posted noob pace, which is why I won't be there...I aint about to do a round robin paced ride through the forest

I'm not going either. The more track I do kind of messes with my street riding. I find myself going faster than normal. Need to figure out how to flip the switch off for the street and just cruise.
