No, it was Maxime Berger in WSBK. It was not an OE wheels though. I have pics of it as my background.

Yea Id say it hit something and then broke, those spokes don't just break out of the blue, a huge pothole, curb, or something caused this rim to break, I would lay money on it, glad hes ok

If the wheel snapped there's no way it would have been able to hit something with enough force to cause that dent. You need the weight of the bike behind that impact.
