Deal or No Deal?

Hey guys, just need some friendly advice on a bike I'm considering. It is an 03 GSXR 600 with 2000, yes you read right 2000 TOTAL miles on the bike. It has been laid down once but the owner has replaced the fairings no other damage from what he says. He is selling the bike for $5000. Is this a deal or no deal? Thanks

Jimmy

if it is a clean title, it sounds like a deal to me...
you might want to get the engine looked at... an 03 with less than 2000 miles means the bike has been sitting for some lengths of time...

Older bike with low mileage isn't necessary a good thing.
Bike's just like any other machine.
If you don't use (ride) it, it breaks.
I wouldn't pay 4 year old bike that much.
Ask for 4,500.

no deal man. Suzuki and kawasaki have THE worst resale value. You can get him down at least another $500

Maybe deal.
I would take it to Patrick and have them look it over good for hidden crash damage, good fork seals, tight steering head...looking for signs of mechanical abuse.

If it is in good mechanical condition, I agree with the 4500 price and fix some of the cosmetic boo boos.

If the title is clear, sounds pretty fair to me. Offer 4500 and see if you can get him a little lower. Never hurts to try! Lol

Alright I'm going to get the bike checked out at the end of this week. 4500 sounds decent to you guys? OR do you guys suppose that I should look into a different bike, not based on performance or anything just value.

I hate to tell you brotha but there is not a bike out there that holds bad resale value. Bikes don't have great resale period! Most people that but one are buying to ride, not to make money on the deal.

As for the miles on the bike for sale, I'd be weary that the previous owner unplugged the speedo cause I know people do like that so just watch out. I'd have Patrick check it out though for sure!

Seems like a good deal man but keep your options open. There are always deals out there so don't jump on the first one you are unless your sure that's the bike you really want.
