I leaned on it this morning. Feels lean in upper rpm. Anyone have jets for a 42mm mikuni flat slide. I don't remember what's in there, have to open it up.

a vrod will hand you your son, sorry, facts are facts.
I still think you lost some compression on the heads piston combo but if its running good and your happy thats all that matters. That just leaves room for more cylinder pressure via a turbo or maybe a NX kit, then you can play with the v-rods, but not until then :-) They start at 120hp, your probably real world around 90 or so, if that.
read those plugs before you start jetting. the mikuni has 3 adjustments , try raising the needle one notch, heck man, thats a great carb, use it to tune to your advantage. the acc pump shot can be tuned on that one, the air fuel, the mid range with the needle height and various sizes, the low and main jets, thats a great carb if done right, make sure you read the plugs and feed it appropriately.

Scootertrash- what's an average rider pulling at bay town on a vrod? I'm at bout 12.00 I reckon. I'm positive a good rider would take me but this bike-rider combo is moving decent

I dont know, I do know 30 hp more is hard hill to climb/catch, They have more torque and more HP, even with a bad rider, they are quick. My 04 sporty was fully built Nallin 1210, wicked full tilt heads, monster valves, everything reasonably done and it was in the 100/100 range, and thats with the 10.5:1 compression, red shift 585 cams, blah blah blah, I would expect yours to be in the 90 range , maybe. not knocking, just honest guessing...80+ hp feels like a rocket on the small sporty, especially when it came with 60 or less I'd guess.

This current combo feels faster than my buell lightning engine but the transmission felt better on buell. I gotta rebuild my oil pump now n install a oil pressure gauge n shift light. I have a nos kit I could hit 10hp on each cylinder n hit my 11 pass hopefully. Wishful thinking

me personally, I'd spray out of that motor. I just like spray, when tuned right its good stuff and you bring yer' cylinder pressure up into "holy this is fun" range
