After several weeks of recovery, and $7,000 in medical bills, Nick says he and his dad started inspecting the bike. They spotted a hole drilled into the frame for his horn.
it was human error on a horn, not a bad frame design.

About a year ago I exited I-10 @ 359 doing about 35 and prepared for the stop sign coming up, started braking and the bike went on it's side????

As my 640lb bike slid along on the Linbar, I shut the motor off and wondered what the happened?? When I eventually stopped, I got the bike up and walked back to see what the I could have slid on going in a straight line...

Never found anything obvious and to this day, I have no clue what happened.

...looked about the same as that video

same thing happened to a memeber here about a month or so ago. he was turning from a red light, couldnt have been going more than 30 mph i guess, and the bike came right out from underneath him. it was at night, but our best guess would be some oil slick from and old car, or maybe water spot from a/c, antifreeze, some kind of fluid. that was our best guess.

That's what I had in mind. It happened to me once but fortunately I didn't low sided. still... it was scary.
