clutch problem

my 1992 vfr750 is having a clutch problem i think.....whenever i gear up from 1st gear to 2nd gear....sometimes it gets caught in the neutral...and i notice that it only happens when its almost time to change oil.... dont know if its normal or is it the oil im using or its time to change the!?...thank you in advance!!

When's the last time you flushed and bled ypthe clutch slave system?
Does the bile shudder a little when you take off in forst?
It's possible you have a slightly warped plate/plates.
When the oil is low/starts to break down it loses it's ability to allow the paltes the spin freely when the clutch is momentarily disengaged.
