Is it just me or....

I haven't ridden down Memorial in a while. I know my suspension is set a hair firm for track days but is that the roughest stretch of road in the city or what? At anything above the posted limit I found myself being bounced out of the seat. You nearly have to ride motocross style.

Our infrastructure is crumbling around us.
Texas is far from the worst, but given the increased population in the next few years it will take it's toll.
I don't know what ever became of the "shovel ready jobs" to repair the infrastructure that the Stimulus was supposed to address, but apparently it wound up being another road to nowhere.

That's part of what prompted this thread. I'm still getting my thoughts together on it. I plan to write a full review of the 1190RX from an owner's perspective. After having set the suspension to the factory recommend setting it seems like the bike is all about feedback. You can feel exactly what's happening in terms of grip on both ends of the bike. On a smooth to mildly bumpy road its sweet but traveling down Memorial had me bouncing out of the seat. My other bikes are much more plush, but don't provide near the feed-back or corner as well or near as fast. I plead the fifth on how fast I allegedly may or may not have been traveling, but at times I felt more like a supercrosser than a sportbiker. One mid corner dip on Allen Pkwy particularly unsettled ME, the bike simply dipped further into the corner as though nothing happened. Stay tuned Iíll issue report once I've had it out on a more open track in a couple weeks.
