When it's gone, there will never be another track like that in this region. I can't go to Daytona or Homestead, but I can drive an hour and be at a very fast and fun track.
Well, the one and only person worthy of falling into the most seriously depressing state of denial, resentment, agony, and anger is.........Trey Morris!!!
The only one who rode the Nascar track at TWS (Texas World Speedway)...

I don't know who Tray Morris is but I know who's Mario Andretti!!! "The end of the Indy car series at TWS (Texas World Speedway)
In 1973, Mario Andretti set a world closed course lap record of 214.158 mph at TWS (Texas World Speedway)"

I wonder the actual effect this track has on the businesses that support TWS (Texas World Speedway) motorsports... They really only stand for what's good for them and their business....new street riders or new to track riders needing their bikes tuned for track....If locals are not even standing behind the efforts to support a local track that somehow may even bring them business and keep racing off the streets, then how can an investor come in and believe he is making a sound investment. Won't happen if the supports scattered or not there at all.

No one wants to be told what to do with their property, just wish the investment $, time, and energy was there...if it was then we don't have to feel so disappointed when people don't give a about something so core to what we do!
I think many CARE about the fate of TWS (Texas World Speedway), myself included.
I don't think anyone in this thread has expressed otherwise, so I'm unsure who your comments are directed to.

That said, I hold an individuals personal freedom much more dearly. It goes completely 180 degrees to one of my core beliefs to try to tell someone what they can or can not do with their property, period.
If the owners of TWS (Texas World Speedway) want to develop the property, than it's their absolute right to do so, regardless of how I, or others may feel.

As I've said multiple times now; want to really save TWS (Texas World Speedway)?
Put your energy into finding like minded investors.
It's a proactive manner to address the situation, that has the potential to be benficial to all parties involved.
See how that's different than just signing a petition that will be ignored?
It doesn't mean I don't care, only that I'm realistc.

I'm unsure of the current value, but recently heard the $15,000,000 figure put out. I have a friend in construction in BCS and he says many of the locals are clamoring for the development of the property.

While it may seem an insurmountable task, if people were instead to direct their energy into finding some investors who are interested in buying the track then it may be saved.

An IPO may be an option, perhaps selling shares at say $1500 a pop.
You'd need to sell 10,000 shares to achieve your goal.
I know I'd be willing to buy a share or two, how about you?
